I’m very exicted that Ashley will be chatting LIVE on Ustream tonight!! In previous weeks, we’ve had Demi Lovato a couple of times and 78violet (formerly Aly&AJ)! These stars are great for getting on Ustream and connecting with their fans. I just wish my questions would make it to them. I seem to get lost in the chat stream.

Ashley Tisdale is ‘not just that Disney girl’
While making new album Guilty Pleasure, High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale stopped by Billboard.com’s studios to chat on camera about growing up, being herself in her new music, and why she’s “not just that Disney girl.”
“People perceive me as my character on High School Musical, as this blonde, bubbly, cute girl, but I’m 23 years old and my original hair color is brunette,” Tisdale explained. “So when I dyed my hair, I felt a little bit more edgier. I was just like, I need to share this with people. There’s a different side of me that people haven’t seen. The best part about doing an album is that you get to be yourself and talk through the music.”
“The whole message of this album is that I’m growing up…and I’m not just this Disney girl. I have another side of me.”

I wasn’t so sure about the non-blond Ashley Tisdale. I thought she looked great as a blond, playing Maddie Fitzpatrick on The Suite Life of Zack & CodyHigh School Musical and then as Sharpay in the movies. But I’m digging this new look Ashley Tisdale! It’s a good change for her – to show she’s growing up from the young Disney star.

Ashley Tisdale joins “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” to Help Missouri Family
The High School Musical star volunteers on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition to help a family that in an hour’s notice took custody of four nieces and nephews to keep them out of foster care.

Just got to Missouri! Extreme makeover home edition, here I come!!! Gonna be building with my daddy, can’t wait to meet the family.

On July 14, 2009,”Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” traveled to Green County, Missouri to tell the eight members of the Hampton family all living in a cramped one-bedroom, one-bath cottage, 792 sq. ft. total that they’ll have a new home in seven days. The original family of four doubled in size not long ago after a fateful phone call from a social services agency. Chris and Niki Hampton were told they had just one hour to decide if they would take in their four nieces and nephews or let them go to foster care.
Ashley Tisdale will be the celebrity volunteer for this build.

Disney star Ashley Tisdale gets edgy on new album
Ashley Tisdale is ready for a change. She wants to remind everyone that she’s not Sharpay the character she portrayed in three successful High School Musical movies. That’s why immediately after HSM3, she died her hair back to it’s original color. She’s also changing up her musical sound on her new album. She’s a bit more edgy and not as dance-pop sounding. Being able to evolve and try new things is always important for an artist. And that’s what Tisdale hopes to accomplish on “Guilty Pleasure,” due July 28 from Warner Bros.
