D23 Announces Exciting Slate of Fall Member Events!
Disney on the D23 official web site revealed the fall schedule for Member Events and I must say it’s pretty gosh darn impressive!
These events will be held in Alaska, Texas, Washington, at the Walt Disney Studios in California, and the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida!
I’m most excited for the following:
On December 12 and 13, D23 will bring Magic & Merriment to Walt Disney World with out-of-this-world holiday magic.
Why?
Because we just happen to have a Walt Disney World trip planned during those dates!!!!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!!
I wonder what Disney has planned? What do you think?
Comic Con Interview with Cast and Crew of ‘Tron Legacy’
At the 2009 San Diego Comic Con, MoviesOnline caught up with Jeff Bridges, Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde, Sean Bailey, Joe Kosinski, Steven Lisberger and Oren Aviv to talk about Tron Legacy.
Tron Legacy is the sequel to the 1982 sci-fi movie Tron. So naturally, the interview’s first question is about the 30 year time gap between films.
Oren Aviv, president of Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Production, says it’s not a goal of his to reinvent Disney classics, even though the studio is putting out Alice in Wonderland, A Christmas Carol and Tron Legacy. He says that “a great story and a great storyteller, that we can combine to come up with something that is fresh and unique” is what excites him.
Jeff Bridges wouldn’t talk much as to why his younger self appears in the sequel only to say that the technique used to pull off this trick was a challenge.
Steven Lisberger, director of the 1982 Tron and producer on the sequel, assures both old and new fans alike:
“This movie takes place in 2010 but accepts the history of what happened between 1982 and 2010 really happened. I guess it heavily considers the original and accepts the events of the original as true fact and back-story, for our story, but our story is a stand alone story.”
I’m excited about this new movie, and from the cast and crew’s interview, it sounds like they are as well! Most importantly, they seem to recognize that they need to pay homage to the loyal Tron fans but given the three decades gap, they need to make it assessable to new fans.
Mother of Deceased Monorail Pilot Expects to Sue Disney
Christine Wuennenberg, mother of the Austin Wuennenberg, the monorail pilot killed in the July 5 crash, has filed a petition in Orlando state Circuit Court, according to the Orlando Sentinel. The petition filed July 9 is to preserve crucial crash evidence in Disney’s possession that she feel may be destroyed, erased or altered. She is also asking the judge to grant her access to this evidence, which includes audio and video recordings. The Orlando Sentinel reports that she expects to sue the Walt Disney and Resorts.

Bad File for MNE Ep.6
I released Episode 6 earlier today, only to discover that it become corrupt somehow. It transfered without errors, but when I downloaded it via iTunes I heard nothing but garble. The same thing occurred when playing it on the site. I guess that teaches me to try and transfer the file through my work’s firewall. Who knows what it did to the file.
I deleted both the post and the file for Episode 6.
I deeply apologize for any other that has already downloaded it. I’m trying to upload it now but I’m on a slow connection. So it might not be available until about 5pm.
Thank you very much for your patience!
