MNE Ep. 80 “JoBros Demi Lovato Concert and Toy Story 3 Reviews”

We spend the majority of this Magic Never Ends Podcast episode in the past inside the Mobile Studio!  Though this material is old, it is still very enjoyable Will and Shannon material!

Will begins the episode tormenting a memory-impaired Shannon.

We go back to August 14 to hear Will and Shannon’s thoughts on the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato concert.  They are stuck in a traffic jam getting out of the Hershey Park parking lot, so it’s a perfect time to record this concert review.

Next we go WAY back to Father’s Day to Will and Shannon’s thoughts immediately after watching Toy Story 3.  They need to collect themselves so they leave the movie theater and record the majority of their review in the Mobile Studio.  Hear how viewing Disney-Pixar movies has changed for Will and Shannon now that they are parents.  Princess Peanut is never far from their minds so this latest Disney-Pixar movie really pulls on their parent heart.

MNE Ep. 79 “It’s On with Tink and Camp Rock 2″

Will and Shannon are BACK!!  The Magic Never Ends Podcast is back!!  And of course back are the Ramblings and Shenanigans (or really we should say the Shan-nanigans). This is classic Will and Shannon, in-studio Disney fan discussion.  Silliness.  Fairies.  Tween stuff.  Disney Ramblings and Babblings!  We hope you enjoy this enthusiastic return to podcasting!!!

Hear what’s been going on the last two months for Will and Shannon.

Then we dive into our flitterific review of “Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue”.  If this was a video podcast, you’d see Shannon wearing her Tink wings during this discussion!

Finally “It’s On” with “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam” as Will and Shannon Embrace their Inner Tween and review the newest Jo Bros / Demi Lovato Disney Channel Original Movie.  We also compare and contrast the two versions of the movie, the original and extended editions.  You can’t talk about a Camp Rock movie without discussing the music!  And this sequel gives us more dancing too!

Demi Lovato’s Here We Go Again Debuts at #1

Much praise and kudos to Demi Lovato for debuting a #1 on the Billboard 200!!  Here We Go Again, Demi’s 2nd album, sold in excess of 107,000 units.  Don’t Forget, her first album, debuted at #2 and sold 89,000 units in the first week.

Quite a change!

Don’t Forget came on the heels of her appearance on Camp Rock with the Jonas Brothers.  She was just starting to make a name for herself.

Now, Demi stars in the hit Disney Channel series Sonny With A Chance.  She co-starred with real-life BFF Selena Gomez (Wizards of Waverly Place) in the smash Disney Channel movie Princess Protection Program, which ranks as the year’s # 1 TV movie among Kids 6 – 11 and Tweens and cable TV’s # 1 movie telecast in Total Viewers and Households.

She started small, playing concerts in South America, before headlining her own summer tour!

The review for both her sophomore album and her concert tour have been outstanding!  People are having fun with Demi’s new music.

In a recent New York Times Sunday Arts & Leisure cover feature, the paper praised Demi with:

“Ms. Lovato stands out artistically, with tastes and attitudes that appear unscripted.  Ms. Lovato is the most exciting of the company’s (reference to Disney) musical stars.”

On her album, Here We Go Again, the Los Angeles Times wrote:

“Lovato channels a witty, pouty ingenue in high heels who’s not afraid to call the shots, especially after a good cry.”

Hometown Dallas Morning News echoed the sentiment:

“She sings with rocking fire and angst. With each note she’s telling us there’s more than teen dream appeal at work. Lovato brews and broods.”

I’m thoroughly impresed with Here We Go Again!!!  It’s outstanding, amazing, and superb.  I can’t praise Demi enough for this new sound.  It surpasses just young tween pop.  I’m extremely impressed with any artist that writes their own music.  And on this album, Demi either wrote or co-wrote all the songs.

When Demi had started her summer tour, only Don’t Forget was available.  I wasn’t impressed enough to plunk down my hard-earned cash to see Demi in concert.  Now with Here We Go Again, I’m sad I didn’t take that chance on this young singer.  Unfortunately, I won’t be able to see Demi in concert on this summer tour.  Hopefully with all the sucesss and buzz she’s generating, she’ll go on tour again next summer.

I’ll be there, Demi, for sure!!!  You rock and I can’t wait to rock with you LIVE in concert!!

Congrats to Demi Lovato on the success of your new album!!  Good luck on the rest of your tour…on Camp Rock 2 The Final Jam…and Sonny With a Chance!!!

I encourage everyone to purchase Demi’s new CD.  You won’t be dissapointed!

“Camp Rock” sequel on track for 2010 debut

Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers return to “Camp Rock” but with a new director and writer.

The Associated Press reports that production will begin this summer on the sequel to the top-rated Disney Channel Original Movie (DCOM) and premiere next year on the cable network.

In “Camp Rock 2 The Final Jam,” the main characters returning to the camp to find that some of the students and instructors have ditched it for nearby rival Camp Star.

Meaghan Jette Martin, Maria Canals-Barrera, Alyson Stoner and Daniel Fathers (Camp Rock’s head honcho) return for the sequel as well.

“Camp Rock 2″ will add two new cast members.  Hip-hop artist Matthew “Mdot” Finley plays the Camp Star hot-shot singer, who challenges Camp Rock to a musical showdown.   Chloe Bridges, a 17-year-old classical pianist will play Dana, the daughter of Camp Star’s owner.

Nick Jonas should get more screen time in the sequel as he will have a “Romeo and Juliet” type romance with Dana.

Paul Hoen will direct Camp Rock 2, taking over for Matthew Diamond.  Hoen directed the DCOM “Jump In!” starring Corbin Blue and Keke Parker.

Dan Berendsen (“Hannah Montana The Movie”) wrote the “Camp Rock 2″ script with Karin Gist and Regina Hicks, the duo who wrote “Jump In!” with Doreen Spicer. Gist and Hicks also wrote the first “Camp Rock” with Julie Brown and Paul Brown.

I’m definitely excited for another “Camp Rock” movie!  Demi and Joe were great in the first movie.  And  I can’t wait to hear more Camp Rock music!  With the plot centering on the inter-camp rivalry, it seems that Tess (Martin) won’t be the villian of the film.  I look forward to see how her character will evolve.

Are you excited for “Camp Rock 2 The Final Jam”?  Will the sequel be as good as the first movie?  Let us know your thoughts!
