Whoa! Did we just take a 2-month hiatus? Sorry. We didn’t mean to take that long break! But spending time with the Princess Peanut and then Halloween and Thanksgiving came, filling up our schedule. Hopefully you missed us and are ready for some more Will and Shannon audio shenanigans!!!
The bulk of this episode was recorded back in September. Eric and Cathy, from the Mouse Guest Weekly Podcast, join to swap stories and share tips about traveling to Walt Disney World with an infant. We enjoyed sharing experiences with other parents and even learning a few things.
Eric and Cathy want to earn their Tween Card, so we test them by asking their thoughts on “Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie”.

Demi Lovato’s Here We Go Again Debuts at #1
Much praise and kudos to Demi Lovato for debuting a #1 on the Billboard 200!! Here We Go Again, Demi’s 2nd album, sold in excess of 107,000 units. Don’t Forget, her first album, debuted at #2 and sold 89,000 units in the first week.
Quite a change!
Don’t Forget came on the heels of her appearance on Camp Rock with the Jonas Brothers. She was just starting to make a name for herself.
Now, Demi stars in the hit Disney Channel series Sonny With A Chance. She co-starred with real-life BFF Selena Gomez (Wizards of Waverly Place) in the smash Disney Channel movie Princess Protection Program, which ranks as the year’s # 1 TV movie among Kids 6 – 11 and Tweens and cable TV’s # 1 movie telecast in Total Viewers and Households.
She started small, playing concerts in South America, before headlining her own summer tour!
The review for both her sophomore album and her concert tour have been outstanding! People are having fun with Demi’s new music.
In a recent New York Times Sunday Arts & Leisure cover feature, the paper praised Demi with:
“Ms. Lovato stands out artistically, with tastes and attitudes that appear unscripted. Ms. Lovato is the most exciting of the company’s (reference to Disney) musical stars.”
On her album, Here We Go Again, the Los Angeles Times wrote:
“Lovato channels a witty, pouty ingenue in high heels who’s not afraid to call the shots, especially after a good cry.”
Hometown Dallas Morning News echoed the sentiment:
“She sings with rocking fire and angst. With each note she’s telling us there’s more than teen dream appeal at work. Lovato brews and broods.”
I’m thoroughly impresed with Here We Go Again!!! It’s outstanding, amazing, and superb. I can’t praise Demi enough for this new sound. It surpasses just young tween pop. I’m extremely impressed with any artist that writes their own music. And on this album, Demi either wrote or co-wrote all the songs.
When Demi had started her summer tour, only Don’t Forget was available. I wasn’t impressed enough to plunk down my hard-earned cash to see Demi in concert. Now with Here We Go Again, I’m sad I didn’t take that chance on this young singer. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to see Demi in concert on this summer tour. Hopefully with all the sucesss and buzz she’s generating, she’ll go on tour again next summer.
I’ll be there, Demi, for sure!!! You rock and I can’t wait to rock with you LIVE in concert!!
Congrats to Demi Lovato on the success of your new album!! Good luck on the rest of your tour…on Camp Rock 2 The Final Jam…and Sonny With a Chance!!!
I encourage everyone to purchase Demi’s new CD. You won’t be dissapointed!
Taylor Swift Sends Selena Gomez Birthday Flowers
Just not the ones you think.
Remember these pictures that Selena Gomez posted to her Twitter page?

People reported that Taylor Swift had sent her good friend a birthday surprise in the form of a huge flower arrangement on the set of Wizards of Waverly Place. We all assumed it was the yellow roses, Selena tweeted about to us. Well, the Disney Channel star sets the record straight to Bop & Tiger Beat:
Even though, those weren’t Taylor’s flowers, that’s still VERY AWESOME that she sent Selena birthday flowers!
According to a Disney Channel spokesperson, Taylor contacted them to see if it was ok to send her friend the flowers, which obviously Disney authorized. Very responsible of Taylor. That’s probably why Selena never received our flowers! Dang! (just kidding)
We’re glad that Selena had a wonderful birthday full of happiness and surprises! And so great that she has wonderful friends like Taylor.
Here’s a cute picture of the young celebs together last September.

Disney CEO Says You Might One Day Pay For Hulu Content
According to an Associated Press report, Walt Disney Co. Chief Executive Bob Iger believes consumers are willing to paying for online content from Hulu. In April, Disney joined Hulu founders, NBC Universal and News Corp, by providing TV shows and movies to the site. Iger also spoke of Disney’s plans for a subscriber-based web site that would offer TV shows, movies and games for a price.
At first read, I was upset. Most networks provide free TV shows on their web site. Why charge? But it all depends on what content Iger means. Is he talking about a Netflix-type site? Or will it be Disney Channel and ABC programming that is currently offered for free? Hopefully, he will provide further details.
What do you think? Is Iger right? Are you willing to pay for online streaming content? Let us know!
Selena Gomez Thanks Her Fans for Amazing Birthday Gifts
We constantly talk about how much we love Selena Gomez. And here’s why! The Disney star quickly turned on her video to record a heart-felt (and a bit teary-eyed) Thank You to her fans for all the wonderful gifts that made for an amazing birthday. Awww…Selena, you RAWK!!!
You’re great to take the time to recognize the appreciation of your fans!
Watch Selena’s Birthday Thank You Video:
Selena Gomez Receives Yellow Birthday Roses
Tuesday, Selena Gomez tweeted, “Chillin on Waverly place for the day. I want yellow roses.”
Hours later and with some early Birthday Magic, the Wizards of Waverly Place starlet’s wish is granted! View the pictures and her comments below:

After A LOT of rehearsing, I came back into my room to find these…..
Thank you

Okay, so this is amazing…… Thank you, again
![]()
Good to see she received our birthday gift to her! JUST KIDDING. We are happy that Selena received one of her birthday wishes. She certainly deserves a WONDERFUL birthday!! We think the Disney star is fantastic and a great actress! She seems very sweet and down-to-earth. Also, she has thus far stayed out of trouble that befalls other young celebrities.
Here’s to a very wonderfully HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Selena Gomez!!!!!!!!
Selena Gomez is Single, Having Fun and Glad to be Herself!
![]() |
The talented young Disney starlet confesses in the past, she felt she needed a boy to feel complete but not anymore. Like many teenage girls, Gomez thought she needed to change herself for the guy. Thankfully, she’s realizing it’s better to be true to yourself and find comfort with what makes one special.
Good for you, Selena!! That’s why you’re AWESOME! Bop and Tigerbeat dot com have the full Selena Gomez quotes. Selena celebrates her 17th birthday today!! Head on over to her Twitter page at twitter.com/SelenaGomez and wish her a FANTASTIC birthday! |
